DAVIDSON, N.C. — The regular season comes to a close Saturday for Davidson when it plays host to Atlantic 10-foe VCU inside the John M. Belk Arena as part of Senior Day for women's basketball.
The Wildcats (11-17, 6-9 A-10) will end the regular season against the Rams for the second year in a row. The 'Cats are fighting for one of the top-eight seeds to be able to host a first round league game next week. They are currently one game out, sitting in ninth place behind Richmond and have the tie-breaker against the Spiders if both teams tie in the league standings.
Senior Day
Prior to the start of the game, Davidson will honor its three seniors Mackenzie Latt, Saadia Timpton and Chloe Johnson as part of Senior Day.
OPENING TIP: Quick Hits ...
•Davidson is in its 39th season and has collected 432 wins in program history.
•The 'Cats are in their fourth year in the Atlantic 10 after a 21-year run in the SoCon.

•Davidson earned a much-need win on the road Wednesday night, grinding out a 58-51 decision against La Salle to snap a four-game skid.
•Clinging to a one-point lead, 47-46, with five minutes left, the freshmen duo of Sarah Donovan and Katie Turner stopped Davidson's cold streak on offense with a layup and a three-ball to make it 52-46 with just over three minutes to go.
•Mackenzie Latt (4-of-4) and Turner (2-of-2) would then seal up the win by hitting six straight free throws in the last 20 seconds.
•Latt had her second straight double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Turner scored 18 points.
Davidson in the A-10 ...
•Three players are scoring in double figures in 10 A-10 games (Latt, 16.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg), Lyon (12.5), Turner (12.5, shooting .442 from 3-land on 42-for-95).
•In the league rankings. Latt is tied for second in made field goals (174) and fourth in offensive rebounds (90), while ranking sixth in defensive (148) and total rebounds (239).
Wildcat All-Time Record Watch ...
•Mackenzie Latt became the fourth player in program history to reach 1,500 points this year at Saint Louis and sits in third place all-time with 1,561. She just trails Laura Murray (1,880) and Sophia Aleksandravicius (1,878) on the all-time scoring list.
•The senior is just the second player all-time with 1,500 points and 800 rebounds in a career.
•She already ranks in the top-15 in career scoring average (8th, 13.6), blocks (5th, 108), field goals made (2nd, 671) and attempted (3rd, 1,514), and rebounds (3rd, 877).
