The 'Cats came out in control, leading by as many as five points as they took the opening stanza 25-23, but couldn't contain the momentum, trailing by as many as seven before clawing back to a 19-25 deficit in Set 2.
Davidson was unable to regain composure, dropping the next two sets. The 'Cats battled to within two in what was ultimately the final frame, but were unable to overcome the hard swinging from the Bulldogs.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, facing Florida Gulf Coast at noon and Wofford at 6 p.m. to conclude the Wildcat Classic.
