GREENSBORO, N.C. – Davidson women's track and field senior Hannah Rieden wrapped up her collegiate career Sunday at the Aggie Last Chance Meet hosted by North Carolina A&T.
Rieden, the school record-holder in the 800-meters, notched the second fastest time in program history, stopping the clock in 2:09.25 to claim second overall - the first collegiate finisher. The Austin, Texas, native made her mark on the program, leaving Davidson with the eight fastest 800 outdoor results all-time.
Freshman Claire Nieusma ended a successful rookie campaign with a ninth overall finish in the 800. Nieusma crossed the line with a new personal best time of 2:13.23, over two seconds faster than her result at the Mason Spring Invitational in early April.
Wildcat freshman javelin thrower Carly Peters qualified for the 2017 NCAA East Preliminary Championship slated to begin Thursday, May 25 at the University of Kentucky.
