DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson women's tennis team continued their dominance in the all-time series vs. fellow in-state foe Appalachian State by picking up a 6-1 victory at home Saturday afternoon at the Davidson Tennis Courts.
The Wildcats (6-2) moved to 25-7 all-time dating back to 1982 against the Mountaineers (3-9), while also earning their 13th consecutive victory at home, which is the longest streak since a 13-match run in 2007.
Davidson won five of the singles matches in straight sets and swept through the three doubles positions for the third time this season.
The No. 3 team of Ava Todd and Alexandra Abele remained undefeated on the season at 7-0 in doubles by blanking their ASU opponent 6-0.
