DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson begins its quest in the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Tournament when it opens the first round at Fordham Sunday at 2 p.m. inside Rose Gym.
The Wildcats (6-22, 4-12 A-10) earned the 12th seeded, while the Rams (20-10, 11-5 A-10) are the fifth seed and earned the chance to host the first round.

•Tied at 41-all, VCU hit a pair of back-to-back jumpers to grab a 45-41 lead with 3:55 left. Justine Lyon would put in a layup at 2:06 to make it a two-point game, but the Wildcats never got closer.
•Lyon had brought the Wildcats back from a 39-32 hole to start the final quarter by scoring seven straight points in a 9-2 run to start the quarter. She finished with 11 points in the quarter.
•The sophomore led all scorers on the night with 25 points, her fourth straight 20-point outing.

•Latt is or will be ranked in the top-15 all-time in the record books during her third season. The junior became the 19th Wildcat to reach 1,000 points this year and currently sits in 11th with 1,128.
