Gibbs Named A-10 Co-Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior Jack Gibbs of the Davidson men's basketball team has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday morning.
Gibbs shares his 10th career weekly honor with VCU's JeQuan Lewis.
For the week, Gibbs averaged 26.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 50 percent (17-34) from the floor, 61.5 percent (8-13) from long range and 91.7 percent (11-12) at the charity stripe.
After a 21-point, 9-rebound performance in Davidson's win over George Washington, Gibbs capped the Wildcats' perfect week with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists at UMass. In addition, he went 11-of-18 from the floor, including six 3-pointers against the Minutemen.
Winners of two straight, Davidson (14-11, 7-7 A-10) will conclude its brief road swing with an 8 p.m. tip at Richmond Tuesday.
