Pritchard Earns 10th Win, But Wrestling Fell at The Citadel, 35-9

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Davidson wrestling wrapped up the regular season Sunday afternoon, dropping a 35-9 decision at The Citadel in SoCon road action.
The Wildcats finish the regular season 4-14 overall.
The 'Cats fell behind 18-0, in a match that opened in the 141-pound class. Like the win at Belmont Abbey, freshman Conor Fenn got the 'Cats going at 174-pounds. Fenn earned a 7-4 decision, his first SoCon win of the season, and moved him to 7-13 overall.
Konner Pritchard followed up Fenn, earning his 10th win of the campaign and first by way of pin. Pritchard (10-12, 3-4 SoCon) earned a fall at 5:44 to help the 'Cats win their second bout of the day.
Junior Dustin Runzo dropped his first sudden victory match of the season in the 133-pound weight class, 3-1. Runzo had won his two previous sudden victory bouts and has had nine matches decided by decisions, going 4-5 in them.
Davidson concludes the 2016-17 campaign Saturday, March 4 at the SoCon Championship back in Charleston.
