LAST TIME OUT
The 'Cats suffered a sweep last Saturday to league-leaders VCU. The junior duo of Mason Rooney and Katharine Franz joined then- Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Ellie Crosley as they each collected five kills. Franz turned in a team-high .417 hitting efficiency. Junior Ciera Cockrell added three blocks, including two solos, and sophomore Elise Edman registered a team-best 17 digs.

SWINGING TO THE TOP
Davidson still ranks second in the league with a .288 hitting percentage. The 'Cats had their season-best thus far during their first match with Wofford, when they carried a .402 clip, and have posted an above .300 percentage in six matches this season. Individually, freshman Ellie Crosley, junior Katharine Franz, and senior Kelly Friers all rank in the Top 10 in the league with marks of .342, .310, and .306.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
La Salle enters the weekend on a seven-game skid, most recently suffering back-to-back sweeps at Saint Louis and Dayton. The Explorers boast one of the top liberos in the league in junior Jensen Sharrits, who leads the A-10 with 347 digs and ranks 19th in the country in the statistic. La Salle also packs a one-two punch on the offensive side, boasting the league's top two leaders in kills in freshman Samantha Graver (256) and sophomore Devin Corah (232).

SCOUTING THE DUKES
Duquesne will make a stop in Richmond to face VCU Friday before taking on the 'Cats Sunday. The Dukes fell to both Saint Louis and Dayton, but have wins against George Washington and George Mason. Setter Dani Suiter tops the league in assists per set (10.04), and is second in total assists (673). Freshman Marie Mosbacher ranks in the Top Three in the league with 224 total kills.

THE LAST MEETINGS
Davidson won a five-set thriller over the Explorers' last season, led by a trio of career-high performances. Then-juniors Kelly Friers and Sarah Fink recorded career-best kills in 20 and 15, and rookie Elise Edman tallied a still-career best 25 digs. The 'Cats came out early, taking the first two sets, and nearly pulled off the sweep but slipped in Set 3 28-26. After stalling in the fourth frame, the 'Cats fired back into action, using three seperate five-point leads to seal the win.

On the opposite side of things, the 'Cats fell in five sets to Duquesne last season. Ciera Cockrell recorded nine kills as Davidson took the opening frame and battled back and fourth in Set 3, as the squads reached a tie score 12 times and saw seven different lead changes before the Wildcats went in favor for good.
