DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson volleyball will wrap up its 2017 home campaign this weekend, welcoming reigning Atlantic 10 Champions Dayton Friday, and concluding the weekend with Saint Louis on Sunday.

Fans can follow both contests via live stats and video streaming links provided.

FAREWELL TO THE SENIOR FOUR
Sunday, we will honor the four seniors of the Davidson volleyball program, who have dedicated four years to the red and black. The quartet has combined for 1,072 kills, 621 digs, 327 blocks, and nearly 65 aces. We will recognize defensive specialist Kylie Bishopp, middle hitter Mary Harriet Moore, and outside hitters Kelly Friers and Sarah Fink.

LAST TIME OUT
The 'Cats spent the weekend up north, finding revenge against Rhode Island Friday before falling to Fordham in five on Sunday. Friday, junior Ciera Cockrell posted a team-best 11 kills and assisted in four blocks. Classmate Mason Rooney recorded her sixth double double with 11 digs and 18 assists. She also had six kills and three aces.

Sunday, a consecutive 12-set winning streak against the Rams was snapped as Fordham won the first set and stormed back to take Sets 4 and 5. Rooney turned in yet another double double with 10 kills and 22 assists. Sophomore Emma McLaughlin turned in a career-best performance, tallying nine kills.

DOUBLE DOUBLE, TOIL AND... TRIPLE?
Junior captain Mason Rooney continues to rank second in the country in triple doubles, one of eight players in the country to record more than one this season. Rooney's four is second only to six from Eastern Illinois' Taylor Smith, who has recorded three during the month of October alone. Rooney has tallied double digits in kills, assists, and digs on the road at UNCW, at home against Georgia and La Salle, and most recently at George Mason. She fell one reception shy of a triple double against Georgia State, turning in 12 kills, 18 assists, and 9 digs. The Atlanta native has eight triple doubles in her career, and has also accumulated ten double doubles this season.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the weekend undefeated in conference play, and will take on fellow-unbeaten VCU Sunday after facing the 'Cats. The Flyers have not played a five-set match in league action, only surrending a set each to Fordham, Saint Louis, and George Washington. Dayton tops the league in five offensive categories, and ranks in the Top 3 in six others. The 2016 A-10 Champions, Dayton went 30-2 a year ago and lost in the NCAA Tournament to Pittsburgh 3-1.

SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS
Saint Louis swept both George Mason and George Washington last weekend, and have won nine of their last 12 contests after starting the season 0-9. The Billikens have two players with over 200 kills, and a third who needs just 11 more. The team also relies on their serve game, boasting the national leader in aces per set in Sien Gallop, who also ranks 6th in the nation with 49 total aces. The Billikens are also second in the conference with 12.82 kills per set.

THE LAST MEETINGS
Davidson faced the defending A-10 Champions twice last season, suffering a sweep both times. Davidson has never taken a set from the Flyers since joining the league in 2015. In the first contest last year, the team was led in kills by then-juniors Sarah Fink and Kelly Friers, and in the final game, it was then-sophomore Mason Rooney.

Davidson faced Saint Louis three times last year, twice during the regular season and then again in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament. In the first contest, the Billikens swept the 'Cats, but in each of the next two games, Davidson took a set each. SLU was led by All-American Danielle Rygelski, who led the nation in kills and total attacks. In the A-10 tournament, then-sophomore Mason Rooney collected a double double with 10 kills and 10 assists on a .400 hitting efficiency, while classmate Ciera Cockrell added seven on a season-best .333 clip. SLU set a facility record, registering 14 aces en route to the victory.
