
Gibbs Named NABC Division I All-District

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson's Jack Gibbs has been selected to the 2015-16 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I District 4 First Team, as recently announced.
The nation's fifth leading scorer at 23.5 points per game, Gibbs scored 40 points in a game three times this season, 35 or more seven times and hit the 30-point mark 10 times.
Named A-10 Player of the Week a league-best five times in 2015-16, Gibbs also ranked among league leaders in scoring, assists, steals, 3-point field goals per game and free-throw percentage..
In addition, Gibbs was named to the Naismith Trophy 50-man early-season watch list, while twice earning National Player of the Week honors – USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week (1/19/16); Lute Olson Player of the Week (1/12/16).
Gibbs also received all-conference and USBWA All-District honors at the conclusion of the regular season.

Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game.
