DAVIDSON, N.C. — Fresh off their first win last Wednesday and all finished with exams, the Davidson women's basketball team wraps up its two-game homestand with a 2 p.m. contest Sunday against Furman inside John M. Belk Arena.
The Wildcats (1-8, 0-0 A-10), who are in a stretch of playing four of five games from Dec. 7-31 at home, will be facing the Paladins (4-7, 0-0 SoCon) for the 59th time since the first meeting back on Dec. 5, 1974.
OPENING TIP: Quick Hits ...
•Davidson is in its 38th season and has collected 416 wins in program history.
•The 'Cats are in their third year in the Atlantic 10 after a 21-year run in the SoCon.
•Davidson returns eight letterwinners and three of its five starters from last year's 11-19 team.
•Head coach Michele Savage is in her 7th year (91-108) and has 6-4 record vs. Furman.
Last Games Out vs. High Point, Dec. 7 ...
•Kianna Speight and Mackenzie Latt combined for 39 points and Davidson shot a season-best 48.3 percent from the floor on its way to an 82-72 win at home against High Point.
•Speight led all scorers with a career-high 20 points, canning four of her personal-best seven field goals from three-land, while Latt followed with a season-high 19 points on a season-best 9-of-17 shooting. She also filled the stat-sheet with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
•Chloe Johnson paced a 27-point effort by Davidson's bench with 14 points, hitting 4-of-5 shots and a season-best 5-of-6 from the charity stripe, while dishing out six assists.
•Davidson used a 14-4 run near the end of the third quarter to break up a 42-all tie, while then pulling away for good by going on a 15-3 run to start the fourth quarter and grab a 73-55 lead with 4:36 remaining.
•Davidson finished shooting a season-best 29-for-60 from the field, including a season-high 8-of-17 from behind the arc.

•Latt has or will be ranked in the top-15 all-time in the record books during her third season. The junior has a chance at 1,000 points this year, needing 114 points to reach the milestone.
