DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson will conclude its preseason with a 7 p.m. exhibition contest against Belmont Abbey Friday evening inside John M. Belk Arena.

Preseason Talking Points
-- The Wildcats, who were picked fourth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, return four starters from last year's team that finished 20-13 overall, 10-8 in the league and advanced to the Postseason NIT.
-- Head Coach Bob McKillop is entering his 28th season at the helm.
-- The 10-time Conference Coach of the Year has won more games in Davidson and league history than any other coach thanks to an all-time mark of 516-313.
-- Entering the 2016-17 campaign, his victory total ranks 24th on the NCAA's list of Division I winningest active coaches.
-- McKillop also ranks sixth among active coaches on the NCAA's list of most seasons with their current school.
-- Davidson is led by two-time all-conference performer Jack Gibbs, who ranked sixth nationally in scoring a year ago, averaging 23.7 points per game.
-- Gibbs also ranked among league leaders in scoring (1st), assists (4th), steals (5th), 3-point field goals per game (T-6th) and free-throw percentage (7th).
-- In 2015-16, Gibbs scored at least 40 points in a game three times, 35 or more seven times and hit the 30-point mark 10 times.
-- The only player with more 40-point games in a season over the last six years is Jimmer Fredette (BYU; 2010-11).
-- The Wildcats also welcome back junior Peyton Aldridge, who averaged 15.5 points and led the team in rebounding (6.5 rpg) and free-throw percentage (.847).
-- Gibbs (first team) and Aldridge (third team) were selected preseason all-conference.
-- Boston College transfer Will Magarity (R-Jr., 6-11, 240 lbs) will be eligible for the 2016-17 season.
-- In addition, Dusan Kovacevic (R-Fr., 6-10, 245 lbs) and KiShawn Pritchett (R-Fr., 6-6, 230 lbs) return from season-ending injuries that were suffered prior to last season.
-- The Wildcats also welcome freshmen Jon Axel Gudmundsson, Michael Brown, Cal Freundlich and Malcolm Wynter to this year's team.
-- This year's roster will feature six international players.
-- Four members of McKillop's staff are Davidson graduates.
-- Davidson has advanced to postseason play 21 times (13 – NCAA, 7 – NIT, 1 – CBI) in school history.
-- The Wildcats have advanced to postseason play six straight years and 11 of the last 12.
-- Davidson has hit the 20-win plateau 14 times under Bob McKillop, including 10 of the last 12 seasons.
-- In just two seasons in the Atlantic 10, the Wildcats are 24-12 against league competition.
-- Davidson has finished with double-digit conference wins 22 times under McKillop.
