Kalinoski Tabbed A-10 Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the third time this season, Davidson's Tyler Kalinoski has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played March 2-7, as announced by the league office Monday morning.
A senior from Overland Park, Kansas, Kalinoski finished the week averaging 27.0 points, 6.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per outing, while shooting 63.3 percent (19-30) from the floor and making 11 of his 19 attempts from behind the 3-point line.
The 6-4 shooting guard began his week with a game-high 22 points in Davidson's 82-55 win over VCU. He capped the regular season with a career-high 32 points, nine assists and no turnovers in the Wildcats' victory at Duquesne, which clinched the A-10 regular season title. In addition, he hit 12-of-14 from the floor, including a personal best eight 3-pointers.
Kalinoski ranks among league leaders in scoring (16.9/3rd), rebounding (5.7/19th), assists (4.2/3rd), steals (1.2/15th), 3-point field-goal percentage (.433/4th), 3-pointers made (84/1st) and assist/turnover ratio (2.9/1st).
This marks the ninth time this season a Davidson (23-6, 14-4 A-10) player has been honored by the league office.
Winners of nine straight, the top-seeded Wildcats will make their A-10 Tournament debut Friday against the winner of #8 UMass / #9 La Salle at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
