Lankiewicz Tabbed A-10 Women's Swimmer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Sophomore Elise Lankiewicz has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming Performer of the Week for the second time this season.
Lankiewicz led the way for the Wildcats between the lanes at Gardner-Webb, picking up wins in three individual events, while helping Davidson to a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay.
The Wilmington, Del., native opened the meet with a victory in the 1,000 freestyle, touching the wall in 10:17.33, before taking the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.20. In the 500 freestyle, Lankiewicz posted a 5:04.43 to finish first.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Lankiewicz swam the third leg as her team claimed victory with a time of 1:36.39.
Davidson returns to action Feb. 18-21 for the Atlantic 10 Championships at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
