DAVIDSON, N.C.  — Davidson continued its winning ways of late, ratting off a 7-0 shutout win over visiting North Carolina A&T Sunday in the Knobloch Indoor Tennis Center.
Â
The Wildcats' (7-3) six-match win streak is their longest since running off a six-match streak in 2013. They improved to 4-3 at home as well.
Â
Artem Khrapko, J.B. Gough and Jordan Hart each kept their singles win streaks alive with victories, while Davidson earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and 3.
Â
The duo of Khrapko and David Hager bumped their record to 5-2 in doubles with a 6-1 decision, while Alex Howard and Jack Riazzi scored their first win together as a pair with a 6-1 decision at No. 3.
Â
Khrapko moved up to No. 1 singles for the match and tied fellow freshman Shamael Chaudhry with his eighth consecutive win. The first-year won by the scores of 6-3, 6-2 to move to 8-2 on the season.
Â
At No. 2, Gough gave up just one game in his two sets with wins of 6-0, 6-1 to net his seventh straight victory and move his overall singles mark to 8-2. It was the sophomore's first win of the season at the No. 2 spot.
Â
Hart won his fifth straight with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 5. He is 3-2 on the year when playing that position.
Â
Picking up his second career win was Hager at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-2 decision. Fellow classmate Jack Riazzi earned his first collegiate singles win by cruising to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 6 to finish out the Wildcats' team points. Â
Â
After playing six matches in a 10-day span, Davidson takes a little time off before heading to Charleston, S.C., where it will face former Southern Conference opponent The Citadel, March 5, at 2 p.m.
