CHAPEL HILL, N.C. —  Davidson continued its early season success, winning its fifth match in a row by earning 5-2 neutral site victory against Campbell Saturday afternoon at the Cone Kenfield Indoor Center on the campus of North Carolina.

The Wildcats improved to 5-1 overall and won their second match in the all-time series against the Camels (3-4).

Anna Catharine Feaster, Ava Todd, Jenna Brunner and Elaina Cummer all kept their singles win streaks alive, while Feaster and Ally Sexton remained perfect in doubles play. Davidson as a team is 26-10 overall in singles action.

Feaster and Sexton ran their doubles record to 6-0 by earning the lone win in doubles, 6-3, at No. 2.

Down 1-0, Davidson turned things around in singles action by winning three matches in three sets and taking the other two in straight sets for the team win.

The trio of Cummer, Brunner and Cassidy Shell all won three-setters. Cummer at No. 1, moved her win streak to four in a row with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 triumph, while Shell earned her fourth win in six matches with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 decision at No. 6.

Brunner, now 4-2 on the season after her third win in a row, split her first two sets by 6-3 scores and was up 4-2 when Maud Mrad of Campbell retired.

Two-time Atlantic 10 Rookie Performer of the Week Feaster finished off the win by rolling to a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 2. The freshman moved to 5-1 in her impressive early start to her collegiate career with her fifth straight win.

The Wildcats return home for a pair of matches, Feb. 26 & 28, against James Madison and East Carolina.
