Lankiewicz Named A-10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Junior Elise Lankiewicz of the Davidson women's swimming and diving program has been named the Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Lankiewicz, a junior from Wilmington, Del., was named Performer of the Week for the second time after putting up fantastic times at the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon College. She beat her own Davidson school record in the 1650-yd freestyle, coming in first with a time of 16:34.99. In the 200-yd freestyle, she set another Davidson record and beat her 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship record by swimming a NCAA B standard time of 1:47.46.
She also came in third-place in the 500-yd freestyle (4:50.50) and helped the 400 medley, 400 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay squads to a third-place finish and the 800 freestyle relay squad finish second.
In addition to her A-10 honor, Lankiewicz was named CollegeSwimming.com Conference Swimmer of the Week.
The Wildcats will be back in action after the Christmas holiday when they travel to William & Mary on Jan. 16.
