DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Wildcats hit the road for just the second time in five weeks when they travel to Jacksonville Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
THE GAME
• The Wildcats hit the road for just the second time in five weeks when they travel to Jacksonville Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
• In that five week span, Davidson snapped a 15-game drought with a win over Kentucky Wesleyan College on Oct. 10 at Richardson Stadium.
• Saturday's game will mark the 18th meeting between the two teams as Jacksonville leads the all-time series that dates back to 1998, 11-6. Jacksonville has won the last six meetings against the 'Cats.
• The Wildcats are 2-7 at Jacksonville with their last win coming in the 2007 season.
• The last Pioneer Football League win for the Wildcats came at Valparaiso on Nov. 10, 2012 where Davidson took a 28-27 overtime victory.
• Davidson is 28-62 (.311) all-time in the Pioneer Football League.

In addition to DeShawn Jones rushing for 201 yards and three scores, Campbell totaled 313 yards on the ground as the Camels defeated Davidson, 39-9, in PFL action Saturday afternoon at Richardson Stadium. Jones set a school record for yards in a game and did it on just 19 carries. Campbell's 313 total rushing yards came on 45 totes for the game. Davidson's William Morris had a game-high 11 grabs for 164 yards and a touchdown for his second-straight 100-yard game. Taylor Mitchell finished the afternoon 18-of-36 for 246 yards. The 'Cats had a hard time finding momentum on the ground as they were held to just three yards rushing on 23 attempts to finish with 249 total yards.
DEFENSE PRESSURED MARIST
Davidson's defense finished with six sacks and nine tackles for a loss against the Red Foxes on Oct. 10. This marks the first time since 2009 the Wildcats recorded six sacks in a game and the first time since 2013 Davidson finished with nine TFL in a game, which were both against Drake.
