Gibbs Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Jack Gibbs of the Davidson men's basketball team has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for games played Nov. 13-15, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
A junior from Westerville, Ohio, Gibbs opened the 2015-16 campaign with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in Davidson's 90-85 win over UCF Friday evening.
Gibbs, who just missed his career high, a 37-point performance against the Knights in Orlando last year, finished 12-of-23 from the floor and 9-of-10 at the free-throw line.
Over the last 20 years, Gibbs and Curry are the only Davidson players to score 35 points or more in a contest.
This marks the fourth time Gibbs has been selected A-10 Player of the Week.

Davidson will continue its four-game homestand Saturday, Nov. 21, with a 1 p.m. tip against former SoCon rival College of Charleston.
