'Cats Host Georgetown in Home Opener Saturday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson swimming and diving programs host Georgetown for their home opener on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Charles A. Cannon Pool.

Georgetown, who will face William & Mary on Friday, enters the weekend after competing against Towson last Saturday. The women edged the Tigers, 141-121, while the men fell, 180-118.
The Wildcats are coming off a solid weekend at the Richmond Duals last Saturday.
Despite falling to George Mason and Duquesne, the Davidson women posted 30 top-three finishes with 11 event titles. Junior Elise Lankiewicz led the squad with four individual titles and was on three winning relays.
The Davidson men battled George Mason at the Richmond Duals and fell to the Patriots, 109-90. But the Wildcats posted 27 top-three finishes and won nine events against GMU. Senior Luke Burton led the team with a flawless performance, winning all four individual titles and helping two relay squads to gold, before earning the Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week.
