Kalinoski Named A-10 Co-Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Tyler Kalinoski of the Davidson men's basketball team has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week for games played Jan. 19-25, as announced by the league office Monday morning. Kalinoski shares the honor with DeAndre' Bembrey of Saint Joseph's, which will host the Wildcats Saturday at noon.

For the Week, Kalinoski averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals, while leading Davidson to wins over No. 22/22 Dayton and George Mason. In addition, the senior guard shot 53.6 percent (15-38) from the floor, including 5-of-10 from behind the 3-point line.

In Davidson's win over the Flyers, its first-ever at home over a ranked opponent, Kalinoski scored 21 points on 9-of-14 shots, while adding six assists and four rebounds in 40 minutes of action. He capped his week with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in the Wildcats' thrilling overtime win at George Mason on Saturday evening.

Kalinoski ranks among league leaders in scoring (16.8 ppg./6th), rebounding (5.9 rpg./15th), assists (4.0 apg./5th), 3-point field-goal percentage (.430/6th) and 3-pointers made (52/2nd).

This marks the second time this season Kalinoski has been honored by the conference office and sixth time a Davidson player has been recognized in 2014-15.
