DAVIDSON, N.C. — Riding a school-record tying seven-game winning streak, the Davidson women's lacrosse team looks to send their seniors off on a winning note as they play host to Liberty Saturday, April 19, at 3 p.m. in a Big South game at Richardson Stadium for Senior Day.
The Wildcats will also carry an 11-game Big South winning streak into Saturday's home finale. The streak dates back to last season when the 'Cats went 7-0 to capture the regular season title.
The Opening Draw Control
Davidson (8-5, 4-0 Big South), winners of their last four straight home contests, plays its fifth Big South opponent by hosting the Liberty Flames (2-12, 1-3 Big South) Saturday afternoon. The 'Cats have already defeated Winthrop, Campbell, Coastal Carolina and Presbyterian in league play.
Prior to the start of Saturday's game, the Wildcats will honor their senior class of Paige Logan, Ann Fucigna, Erin Doherty, Liz Edwards, Rebecca Garman and Carlee Simon.
The All-Time Series/Last Meeting
This will be the seventh meeting between both schools, with the Wildcats holding a perfect 6-0 record since first playing Liberty in 2010. The Wildcats swept a pair of games last year, earning a 12-5 win at Liberty in the regular season and then taking a 17-8 semifinal victory in the Big South Tournament in Davidson. Mary Leonard scored four goals and Emily Cooke had eight points in the win as Davidson tied the program record with its 11th win.
