Brooks Earns Second SoCon Player of the Week Honor

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second time in the last three weeks, Davidson's De'Mon Brooks has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for games played Jan. 28 - Feb. 3, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
A native of nearby Charlotte, Brooks finished the week averaging 25.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per contest, while shooting 75 percent from the floor.
In Davidson's 43-point win over first-place Chattanooga, the 6-7 forward finished with 27 points, connecting on 12-of-18 attempts, and grabbed 12 rebounds for his 10th career double-double. Brooks capped the week with 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting, while recording eight rebounds and three blocks against The Citadel.
Brooks, who is averaging 22.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and shooting 67 percent from the floor in conference play, has eclipsed the 20-point plateau eight times this season, including the last three games.
The Wildcats, who have won five straight and eight of their last nine, return to action Thursday evening with a 7 p.m. contest at Samford.
