Burton-Akright Claims Second Straight CCSA Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Davidson diver Kaliya Burton-Akright has been named the CCSA Diver of the Week for competition Feb. 3-9, as announced by the league Wednesday morning.
Burton-Akright was the Wildcats' top finisher in their diving meet vs. Clemson and James Madison last weekend. She posted a score of 271.10 in the 3-meter competition, taking sixth place. She also scored a 263.40 in the 1-meter event. This week marks the fourth time this season Burton-Akright was acknowledged by the league.
The Davidson swimming & diving teams will head to Knoxville, Tenn., next week to compete in their final CCSA Championship meet. The event will be held Feb. 19-21 on the campus of the University of Tennessee.
