Aldridge Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Peyton Aldridge of the Davidson men's basketball team has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for games played Nov. 17-23, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
A 6-7 freshman forward from Leavittsburg, Ohio, Aldridge finished the week averaging 16.0 points and 5.0 rebounds, while shooting 52.1 percent from the field, including a 7-for-11 showing from behind the 3-point arc. Against No. 6/6 North Carolina on Saturday, he went 9-for-16 from the floor and drilled six of the Wildcats' 11 treys en route to a season and game-high 25 points.
Through the first three contests of his collegiate career, Aldridge is averaging 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds, while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and 61.5 percent from long range.
Davidson will play its first road contest of the season when it travels to UCF for a 7 p.m. contest Wednesday evening on ESPN3.
