PITTSBURGH, Pa. – With just over a minute left in the second overtime, Davidson saw its chances of earning at least a draw at Duquesne halted when the Dukes' Emma Coccia found the back of the net for the game-winner in a 1-0 double-overtime contest Sunday afternoon in women's Atlantic 10 soccer at Rooney Field.

The Wildcats (4-8-1, 1-1 A-10) were hoping for at least a team point in the standings by picking up the draw and closing out their first A-10 weekend unbeaten after winning 2-0 Friday afternoon at St. Bonaventure. But, Duquesne's (4-5-3, 1-0-1 A-10) Coccia gathered in a long pass from Ashley Nater and dribbled in from 25 yards out, firing a shot just past the reach of goalkeeper Rachel Locke for the win with 108:50 reading on the clock.

Davidson got off 15 shots on the afternoon, including a combined five in both overtimes. Duquesne had a game-high 19 shots, putting 11 of those on goal.

Once again, Locke was at her best for the 'Cats in keeping the game tied. She finished with her second game of the season with double-digits in saves, stopping 10 shots to push her Atlantic-10 leading total to 73. After the weekend, the senior keeper moved into third place all-time in the Wildcat record books in career saves (307) and shutouts (18).

Becca Fisher nearly sent the Wildcats home victorious twice. The senior midfielder took a free kick from 30 yards out in the 79th minute, but missed high on her shot attempt. Then in the 97th minute, the senior found herself wide open from 15 yards out, but again was unable to convert with her shot going high.

The two schools were playing for just the third time and first since 2000 at Davidson.

The Wildcats, in the midst of playing six games out of a seven-game stretch on the road, return home for their only game during the stretch to face Richmond next Saturday at 7 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
