DAVIDSON, N.C. – Winners of four straight and riding a five-game unbeaten streak, Davidson returns home to Alumni Stadium Tuesday evening for a 7 p.m. contest against ACC-foe Duke.

"Duke is an exciting opportunity to take on at Alumni Stadium," said Davidson head coach Matt Spear. "They are an athletic, talented, ambitious squad that you would expect from the ACC."

Coming off a 1-0 win at Longwood over the weekend, the Wildcats enter 4-0-1 overall and are off to their longest unbeaten streak to begin a season since 1982.

Alec Rotunda, who netted the equalizer in Wednesday's win over Campbell, provided the difference-maker in the 82nd minute against the Lancers.

Davidson and the Blue Devils have squared off 45 times on the pitch with Duke leading the all-time series, 35-8-2. Despite dropping three straight to the Blue Devils, Davidson knocked off then-No. 6 Duke, 4-1, in front of 1,487 fans at 1992 Team Field in 2009.

"We don't get caught up in whom we are playing, or even where we are playing. Our mindset is to respect everyone and fear no one."

"As always, we will need to think and play quickly, to be sharp, confident and connected with the ball, plus switched on, hungry and cohesive on the defending side," commented Spear.

Freshman Max Pragnell continues to lead the Wildcats in scoring with a goal and three assists, while Rotunda and John Pace have found the back of the net twice.

As a team, Davidson is averaging 1.80 goals per game and giving up just 0.80.

"Our focus is on our preparation, our energy, our attitude, our game plan, our execution and putting together an awesome 90 minutes."

The Blue Devils enter 2-1-2 on the young season following a 1-1 double overtime tie with Virginia Tech Friday in Durham. Duke outshot the Hokies 23-7, but was only able to push across Sebastien Ibeagha's redirect off a free kick.

Sean Davis and Zach Mathers pace the Blue Devils offensively with five points each (2G, 1A).

On Saturday, the Wildcats will begin a season-long four-game road trip when they head to Wofford for their conference opener.
