Kuhlman Earns Second SoCon Student-Athlete Accolade

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second time this season, Davidson men's basketball senior guard JP Kuhlman has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday.
Kuhlman was an integral part of the Wildcats' second consecutive championship run, averaging 9.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists with a 1.4 assist to turnover ratio over the weekend. He went an impressive 11-for-14 for (.786) from the field and shot 71.4 percent from downtown in a trio of games. Kuhlman was also 6-of-7 from the floor for 14 points against College of Charleston in the championship game, helping him to earn a spot on the all-tournament second team.
A religion major from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Kuhlman boasts a 3.804 GPA and was named a Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree earlier this season.
The Wildcats will find out their NCAA Tournament match up on Sunday, March 17, as part of the NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show at 6 p.m. on CBS.
