Kuhlman Claims SoCon Student-Athlete Honor

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Davidson men's basketball guard JP Kuhlman has claimed the Southern Conference's Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the week of February 13, announced the league office Wednesday.
Kuhlman helped the Wildcats go 2-0 on the weekend with wins over Western Carolina (73-59) and Appalachian State (87-52). The senior guard averaged 10.5 points, 7.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds while shooting 50 percent and going 6-of-6 at the free throw line. Kuhlman put up 13 points and dished out seven assists against the Catamounts and handed out another seven assists against the Mountaineers.
A religion major, Kuhlman holds a 3.804 GPA and was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District team for the second consecutive season.
The Wildcats will be back in action February 14 when they travel to Charleston, S.C., to face the College of Charleston Cougars in a 7:30 p.m. tilt at TD Arena.
