• After six straight away from home, Davidson returns to Belk Arena Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. tip against Johnson & Wales.
• Winners of two straight, the Wildcats enter 3-5 overall, following an 87-78 overtime win at Charlotte Wednesday evening.
• With its win, Davidson reclaimed the Hornets' Nest Trophy.
• In addition to its first victory at Halton Arena, Davidson placed three players in double figures, including a game-high 21 points from senior Tom Droney.
• Through the first eight contests, five different players have led the Wildcats in scoring.
• Saturday's game against Johnson & Wales marks the first-ever on the hardwood between the two Mecklenburg County schools.
• De'Mon Brooks, who was tabbed the Southern Conference Preseason Player of the Year, leads the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
• Brian Sullivan and Droney are also contributing double figures, averaging 13.1 and 12.0 points, respectively.
• In addition to its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and 12th overall, Davidson finished the 2012-13 campaign with a 26-8 record, marking the fifth time in the last seven seasons the Wildcats have posted 25 or more wins.

• Despite sharing the same county, Davidson and Johnson & Wales have never met on the hardwood.
Last Time Out
• Tom Droney scored a game-high 21 points and Chris Czerapowicz added 19 to lead Davidson to an 87-78 overtime victory at Charlotte in the annual Battle for the Hornets' Nest Trophy Wednesday evening.
• In the extra session, Droney (6) and Jordan Barham (5) combined for 11 points as the Wildcats' outscored the 49ers 13-4, to record just their second road win in the series and first at Halton Arena.
• Davidson (3-5), which shot above 50 percent for the second consecutive contest, also got double figures from freshman Jack Gibbs, who finished with 15 points in 35 minutes.
• After Davidson used a 10-4 run to grab its largest lead of the night, 63-54, the 49ers answered with a 15-3 spurt capped off by a Ben Cherry trey to go back in front, 69-66, with 6:27 remaining.
• Charlotte (6-2) finished the contest 25-of-36 from the free-throw line, while the Wildcats converted 12 of their 15 tries.
• Terrence Williams led five 49ers in double digits with 17 points, including an 11-for-15 effort at the line. Willie Clayton contributed a double-double before fouling out with 16 points and 12 boards, Cherry added 14 points, while Shawn Lester and Denzel Ingram finished with 13 and 10, respectively.
• For the second time in as many outings, Davidson was tangled in a back-and-forth opening 20 minutes. After seven ties and four lead changes, Gibbs swished a shot from midcourt at the buzzer the give the Wildcats a 40-37 lead at the half.
• Both teams shot 51 percent in the opening period, while Czerapowicz led all scorers at intermission with 12 points, including three of Davidson's five 3-pointers.
• Charlotte, which captured the Puerto Rico Tip-off two weeks ago with wins over Kansas State and No. 13/14 Michigan, held a 42-30 margin on the glass.
• The 40th all-time meeting between the cross-county rivals featured 12 ties and nine lead changes.

• After posting a 9-17 record in Belk Arena its first two seasons, Davidson has recorded a 241-55?mark there in the last 23, including two undefeated campaigns (.814 winning percentage).
• Overall, Davidson boasts a 250-72 (.776) record in Belk Arena.
Tough Schedule
• Once again Davidson will tackle one of the nation's toughest non-conference schedules, which includes contests with Duke, Virginia, Georgia, Clemson, New Mexico, Charlotte, Drexel, North Carolina, Wichita State and College of Charleston.
• Five of Davidson's non-conference
foes were ranked in the preseason Top-25.
• All told, nine teams advanced to postseason play a year ago, including four that finished with RPIs in the Top-20, according to the NCAA's RPI ratings.
McKillop Magic
• Bob McKillop, in his 25th season at Davidson, is the school's and the SoCon's all-time winningest coach (455-284 career record).
• His victory total ranks 31st on the NCAA's list of Division I winningest active coaches.
• In addition, McKillop ranks eighth among active coaches on the NCAA's?list of most seasons with their current school and is one of six on that list who has spent their entire career at that school.
• He collected his 450th career win in Davidson's 86-59 triumph over Georgia Southern in the quarterfinals of the 2013 SoCon Tournament March 9.
• McKillop coached his 700th career collegiate contest at Milwaukee on November 17, 2012.
• McKillop recorded his 400th victory Feb. 26, 2011, in Belk Arena, a 78-67 win over UNCG.
• He coached in his 600th career collegiate contest at Saint Mary's (Calif.) March 23, 2009.
• He collected his 350th career victory against Samford Jan. 3, 2009, at Belk Arena, a 76-55 Davidson decision.
• He logged his 200th career Southern Conference victory with a 79-56 win against Wofford Jan. 24, 2009, at Belk Arena.
• All 82 of the seniors McKillop has coached have graduated, and his teams have perfect APR?scores of 1,000 in each year since 2003, when the NCAA?began tracking it.
