Layup Line
• Following a six-day break for exams, Davidson returns to the court Saturday for a 5 p.m. tip at nationally-ranked North Carolina.
• This will be the Wildcats' fourth Atlantic Coast Conference opponent and fourth game against a Top-25 team this season.
• In addition, Davidson will travel to No. 11/9 Wichita State on December 29.
• Coming off a 72-58 setback to Drexel, the Wildcats enter 4-7 overall.
• Playing without two starters in its last contest, Davidson was paced by Brian Sullivan's 14 points and Tyler Kalinoski's third double-double (13 pts, 12 rebs) of the year.
• The Wildcats have struggled at the offensive end over their last two contests, shooting 34.5 percent overall, while going just 9-of-52 (.173) from 3-point range.
• Five different players have paced the Wildcats in scoring this season.
• De'Mon Brooks, who was tabbed the Southern Conference Preseason Player of the Year, leads the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
• Tom Droney (13.1), Sullivan (12.5) and Kalinoski (10.8) are also averaging double figures for Davidson.
• Kalinoski paces the team in double-doubles (3), minutes played (33.2), shooting percentage (.483), 3-point field-goal percentage (.406), total rebounds (66), assists (37) and steals (17).

• North Carolina has won four straight and leads the all-time series 61-11.
• Separated by just 130 miles, the Wildcats and Tar Heels haven't met since the 2007-08 season.
• In a game that featured 10 lead changes and seven ties, top-ranked North Carolina held off Davidson, 72-68, on Nov. 14, 2007 at Bobcats Arena.
• Following the loss, Davidson climbed into the Top-25 for the first time in 37 years.
• North Carolina and Davidson met in the 1968 and 1969 NCAA Tournament East Regional Finals, with the Tar Heels edging the Wildcats in both contests.
• The Wildcats are 1-4 against the Tar Heels under Bob McKillop.
Tough Schedule
• Once again Davidson is taking on one of the nation's toughest non-conference schedules, which includes Duke, Virginia, Georgia, Clemson, New Mexico, Charlotte, Drexel, North Carolina, Wichita St. and Col. of Charleston.
• Prior to the New Year, Davidson will have played five Top-25 opponents.
• All told, nine teams advanced to postseason play a year ago, including four that finished with RPIs in the Top-20, according to the NCAA's RPI ratings.
