DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second straight season, JP Kuhlman of the Davidson men's basketball team has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District team by the College Sports Information Directors of America, it was announced today. Kuhlman advances to the national ballot for Capital One Academic All-America honors.
A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Kuhlman carries a 3.79 grade point average in religion and plans to go to medical school after he graduates. The senior guard was joined on the all-district squad by Nathan Healy of Appalachian State, Dennis Ogbe of Tennessee Tech, Mason Plumlee of Duke and Darren White of Campbell.
A year ago, Kuhlman became just the seventh player in school history to earn Academic All-America honors when he earned a spot on the third team.

Named Freshman of the Year in 2010, Kuhlman was voted to the 2012 Southern Conference All-Tournament team after leading Davidson to its 11th NCAA Tournament appearance.
In addition to being selected a candidate for the 2012-13 Senior CLASS Award, Kuhlman has been named to the Cousy Award Watch List (nation's best point guard).
