DAVIDSON, N.C. — Winners of five of their last six games, the Wildcats continue their homestand Wednesday evening with a 7 p.m. Southern Conference match up against UNCG at John M. Belk Arena.

Davidson is 1-1 so far on the homestand, facing Chattanooga (L, 56-60) and Samford (W, 63-51) last weekend. The 'Cats will finish out the stretch at home Saturday, Jan. 26, against Elon.

Game Notes: Quick Hits...
•Davidson continues its four-game homestand by hosting UNCG Wednesday evening.
•The 'Cats return four starters and 12 letterwinners from last year's 22-10 squad (17-3 SoCon)
•Head coach Michele Savage enters her third year at Davidson (45-35, 31-16 SoCon).

Last Time Out...
•Davidson got back on the winning track with a 63-51 triumph at home vs. Samford on Sunday.
•The Wildcats erased a three-point halftime deficit by shooting 52.2 percent and outscoring the Bulldogs 37-22 in the second half. They held Samford to just five second-half field goals.
•For the first time this year, the Wildcats had four players score in double figures. Barbara Sitton had a season-best 11 points in the win.
Laura Murray had her second 20-point outing of the year with an even 20, getting 14 in the first half as she kept the Wildcats close going into halftime, 29-26.

Aleksandravicius Leads Team...
•The senior has tallied eight double-doubles (29th in nation), including seven in the last 13 games.
Sophia Aleksandravicius is averaging team bests of 14.1 points and 9.8 rebounds (2nd in SoCon) per game.
•She has scored in double digits in 13 of 17 games, including six SoCon contests (4 double-doubles).

Murray Breaks Out of Scoring Slump...
•Murray is averaging 14.7 points in the last nine games, while averaging 19.8 points overall at home.
•She has scored in double digits in seven of the past nine games and reached that mark nine times overall.
•Prior to her nine-game scoring streak, the junior had scored just 21 points combined in four games.

Home Stats...
•The 'Cats are 4-1 on the season at home and have won 16 of their past 18 in the last two years.
•They are outscoring the opposition 61-50, while shooting 42.8 percent. The defense has held opponents to 32 percent shooting and forced 100 turnovers (20 a game), pocketing 64 steals (12.8 a game).

SoCon Rankings...
•Davidson is among the top teams in the SoCon in: scoring defense (3rd, 56.2), field goal percentage (4th, .392), three-point percentage (4th, .315), blocks (2nd, 4.3), assists (3rd, 14.4) and steals (3rd, 10.6).

Preseason Honors...
•Davidson was picked first in the SoCon preseason coaches poll and second in the media poll.
•Aleksandravicius was tabbed the preseason SoCon Player of the Year favorite, while she and Murray were named to the coaches preseason all-league team for the second time.

Series vs. UNCG...
•Davidson trails the series by 12 games, 28-16, but recently have started to close the gap. The Wildcats have won nine of the past 12 meetings, including the last three in a row.
•Last year Davidson swept the two-game series, winning games of 71-52 and 58-49. In its home win a year ago, Murray and Aleksandravicius had 20 and 16 points, respectively, in win.   
 
Scouting the Opposition...
•UNCG dropped its seventh straight on Monday, falling to App. State on the road, 81-58.
•The Spartans were led by Janae Stevenson's 14 points and nine rebounds. She is second on the team in scoring at 11 points to go with 7.3 rebounds.
•The Spartans are winless on the road at 0-6 and sit in last place in the league standings at 0-7.
•UNCG's three wins came against Gardner-Webb, Norfolk St. and N.C. Central.
•They ranked second in the SoCon in steals per game (10.9) and offensive rebounds (16.5).
•Lucy Mason paces the team in scoring at 14.9 and is averaging 12 in seven SoCon games.
•Head Coach Wendy Palmer is in her second year at UNCG.
•The Spartans were picked last in the coaches poll after a 4-25 campaign last year (3-17 SoCon).
