ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Davidson women's track and field competed in its third spring outdoor event, led by Erin Osment, by racing at the Winthrop Invitational Friday and Saturday, with the host school being Winthrop University.

Osment paced a host of Wildcats in the 1500 Meter run on Saturday with a season-best fourth place finish in the event, racing to a time of 4.59.75. She was closely followed by three other Wildcats in the top-10. Manya Swick was two places behind Osment with a time of 5:00.67, while freshman Lauren Carter closed the line in eighth place on a time of 5:10.35.

Rounding out the quartet of top-10 finishers for Davidson was Claire Naisby, who clocked in at a time of 5:11.58, good for 10th place overall. Maggie Rickard and Jane Gay also competed in the event, getting solid finishes of 13th and 14th, respectively, on times of 5:18.54 and 5:19.57.

Three Wildcats raced in the 800 Meter on Saturday. Grace Watt had the best showing with a time of 2:24.63, which gave her an 11th place finish. The senior Gay had a 14th place finish on a time of 2:30.96, while Brooke Senken was one spot behind her classmate and clocking in on a time of 2:30.96.

On Friday, Ashley Page competed in the 200 Meter dash and got a 14th place finish on a time of 30.40. Mary Grace Gordon competed in two events, the 100 Meter dash and the Long Jump. She did not reach the finals in the 100 Meter as her time of 13.22 did not qualify for the final race. She came back and got a 10th place showing though in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.80 meters.

Davidson will next compete at the Duke Invitational and Terrier Relays, Apr. 6-7.
