Cohen and Brooks Named NABC All-District

KANSAS?CITY, Mo. - Davidson men's basketball players Jake Cohen and De'Mon Brooks have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District Team.

The duo is now eligible for the NABC All-America Team, which will be announced tomorrow.

The Southern Conference Media Association Player of the Year, Cohen averaged 14.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and led the league with 1.7 blocked shots a game. The junior scored 20-plus points in nine games this season and recorded three double-doubles.

Brooks was voted the SoCon Player of the Year by the league's coaches. The sophomore averaged 15.7 points and 6.2 rebounds a game while shooting a team-best 53 percent from the floor. He scored 20 or more points in nine games and collected two double-doubles.

The Wildcats return all five starters and the top eight scorers and rebounders from the 2011-12 squad that won the SoCon South Division, the SoCon Tournament title and made the school's 11th trip to the NCAA Tournament.
