DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Wildcat volleyball team will continue its three-game home stand this weekend, starting with its annual Dig Pink match on Friday at 7 p.m. vs. Elon before wrapping things up Sunday with a 2 p.m. tilt vs. UNCG.
VS. THE ELON PHOENIX
The 'Cats and the Phoenix will meet for the 19th time since 1986. The Wildcats own the series lead at 10-8 but dropped last season's match 3-0 at Elon. The last time the two faced each other at Belk Arena, it was the 'Cats who came away with the 3-1 victory.
SCOUTING ELON
The Phoenix enter the match up with a 9-12 overall record and a 2-4 record in SoCon play. Most recently, Elon took a 3-1 loss to Samford on Saturday, falling in set scores of 27-25, 14-25, 22-25 and 19-25. They boast wins over Chattanooga (3-0) and Western Carolina (3-0) so far this season. The squad is led by Megan Gravley's 3.00 kills per set, as well as Ali Deatsch's 4.00 digs per set. The Phoenix have hit .184 on the season thus far.
VS. THE UNCG SPARTANS
Sunday will mark the 45th meeting between Davidson and UNCG since 1986. The Spartans lead the series 26-18 and took a 3-0 win from the Wildcats in Greensboro last season. Davidson fell 3-1 the last time the two teams played at Belk Arena.

UNCG comes to Davidson with a 10-8 overall record and 4-2 mark in SoCon action. The Spartans went 1-1 in conference play last weekend, taking a 3-1 match from Chattanooga after falling to Samford 3-0 the day before. Most recently, UNCG picked up a 3-0 win over S.C. State on Tuesday. Karrian Chambers averages 3.26 kills per set the lead the way for the Spartans, while Katherine Santiago and Kellie Orewiler are averaging 3.88 and 3.87 digs per set, respectively.
DIG PINK
Friday's match up with Elon will be the Wildcats' annual Dig Pink match to raise awareness for breast cancer. The team is currently selling t-shirts with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Side Out Foundation and is also taking donations online. In addition, fans at the match will get the opportunity to bid on silent auction items that will also benefit the Side Out Foundation.
