Davidson Drops 6-1 SoCon W. Tennis Match at Elon on Wednesday

ELON, N.C. — Davidson traveled to play the Elon Phoenix in a Southern Conference women's tennis match and fell 6-1 on the road on Wednesday afternoon.
The 'Cats saw their record fall to 4-15 overall and 0-5 in SoCon action, while Elon moved to 10-9 overall and 5-4 in league play.
Katharine Dicconson (Pacific Grove, Calif.) scored the lone win and point for Davidson. The junior won her second singles match in a row with a straight set 6-3, 6-2 win over Jessica Margolis at No. 6. She improved to 2-2 on the year, with both wins coming against SoCon opponents.
Davidson plays two on the road this weekend when it travels to Samford and Chattanooga. The Wildcats will play a 12 p.m. match at Samford on Saturday and then close out the road trip at Chattanooga on Sunday for another 12 p.m. match.
