DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson men's basketball team will play its Red/Black Scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. in John M. Belk Arena. The scrimmage is open to the public, and admission is free.
The team will be introduced prior to the scrimmage, while Coach McKillop and the Wildcats will do a postgame question and answer session with fans in the lobby after the scrimmage. The team will also be available for autographs.
Davidson returns 11 lettermen and four starters from the 2010-11 squad, which finished 18-15 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational presented by Zebra Pen. Seven of the Wildcats' top eight scorers last season were freshmen or sophomores.
The campaign opens with an exhibition game against Lenoir-Rhyne Nov. 5, and the Wildcats start the regular season with consecutive home games against Guilford (Nov. 11, 8 p.m.) and Richmond (Nov. 14, 8:15 p.m.).
Single-game tickets for the 2011-12 men's and women's basketball seasons are now on sale. Men's single-game tickets are priced as low as $14 for adults and $7 for youth, while women's tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth. Season tickets and Five-Game Mini Packs are also still available, starting as low $50 per package.
