Men's Basketball Names Team Captains for 2010-11

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson basketball coach Bob McKillop announced today that Brendan McKillop and Will Reigel have been named team captains for the 2010-11 season. The captains are selected in a vote by the team and coaching staff.
“Both Brendan and Will have been around Davidson basketball for quite a long time,” said Bob McKillop. “They will be superb at setting the tone for leadership and teamwork on our team.”
Brendan McKillop was one of two players to start all 31 games for the Wildcats in 2009-10 and averaged 10.2 points, four assists and 2.7 rebounds a game. The senior ranked 10th in the country and first in the Southern Conference in assist to turnover ratio (2.7). He also ranked sixth in the SoCon in assists and seventh in 3-pointers made (80). Reigel played in 12 games in 2009-10, and the junior has played in 28 for his career.
Davidson returns three starters and eight lettermen from last year's team which finished 16-15 overall and 11-7 in the SoCon, placing third in the South Division. The Wildcats play Lenoir-Rhyne in a home exhibition Nov. 6, before opening the regular season at Penn Nov. 13.
