CHARLESTON, S.C. —  The senior trio of Virginia Berry, Teresa Wang and Ali Gores led Davidson to their second 5-2 win over the weekend as the Wildcats defeated Richmond in a neutral site women's tennis match on Sunday afternoon.

Berry clinched the Wildcats' (7-2) seventh win of the year when she came back from dropping her first set, 6-4, to score 6-2 and 6-1 wins in the next two sets to run her singles mark to 5-3 on the year.

The senior also teamed with Wang at No. 1 doubles to lead Davidson to capturing the doubles point after they scored a 9-8 win. They have a team-best record of 6-2 in doubles play.

Alison Rauh and Stephani Synn helped clinch the point with their fourth win as a pair by earning an 8-6 win over the Spiders' (2-3) Kelly Tidwell and Isabel Arana at No. 2.

Wang and Gores scored the Wildcats' fifth and third points of the match with their wins at No. 3 an 4 positions in singles. Gores earned a straight set decision, 6-2, 6-3, over Sydney Grant at No. 4.
