Davidson Named Division I Team Scholar All-American by CSCAA

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- For a third straight season, the Davidson Wildcat women's swimming and diving team has been named a Division I Team Scholar All-American for the fall of 2009 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The Wildcats earned the honor behind a team GPA of 3.31, as teams with cumulative GPAs above 3.0 are given the Scholar All-America distinction.
In addition to earning the honor for a third consecutive time, Davidson's team GPA has risen steadily over the past three seasons. The Wildcat women earned the honor with a team GPA of 3.21 during the 2008-09 season, up from a 3.15 in 2007-08.
"Our women continue to impress on so many levels," head coach John Young said. "That our competitive achievements are accompanied by academic milestones gives me great faith that these young women are preparing themselves for lifetimes full of successes. I am so very proud of this team!"
