
Davidson Falls Short at Jacksonville, 4-3, in W. Tennis

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The JU women's tennis team rallied to top Davidson, 4-3, at the Keith Watson Tennis Complex on Monday.
TheWildcats (4-5) captured two of the three doubles matches to grab a 1-0 lead, but the Dolphins (4-4) rallied with four wins in singles play to snap a three-match losing streak.
Picking up singles wins for Davidson was Virginia Berry, a 7-6, 6-3 winner over Elvira Yusupova, and Alison Rauh with a straight set, 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 3 over Iva Jaresova. Rauh snapped a five-match losing streak with her singles win.
The duo also picked up a doubles win together with an 8-4 triumph over Tatiana Soldatova and Elvira Yusupova at the No. 1.
Davidson continues its five-match road swing with a trip up to Statesboro, Ga. to open up Southern Conference play against Georgia Southern at 1 p.m.
