BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh's Kelly Draper and Lauren Dykstra combine for 11 goal of the Mountain Hawks' 18 goals in taking an 18-4 decision over the Davidson Wildcats on Saturday afternoon in women's lacrosse at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

Davidson dropped its fourth straight in falling to 5-6 on the year. After starting the season winning four its first five games, Davidson has now dropped five of its last six contests. Lehigh improved to 7-3 win with the non-conference win.

The 'Cats were led by Haley Cook's season-high three goals, and Jen Crawford tallied her team-leading 22nd goal of the season, but that was all the scoring Davidson could muster against the Mountain Hawks.

Draper closed the afternoon with a game-high six goals, while Dykstra finished with five. Also adding to the Mountain Hawks' attack was the duo of Inneke Carmola and Sara MacIntyre with two goals apiece, while three other Mountain Hawks earned a goal each. Meagan Tenety and Carmola tied Draper with six points each as they dished out five and four assists, respectively, in the win.

The Wildcats kept things close early when Cook netted her 15th goal of the season at the 26:37 mark to knot the score up a 1-all.

Then after Draper scored her first two scores of the game on back-to-back goals, Cook came back with her 16th goal of the season to cut the Mountain Hawk lead down to one at 3-2 and 17:30 remaining in the half. The junior capped off the first half for Davidson with her third score of the period to bring the score to 6-3.

It would be as close as the Wildcats got though, with Lehigh netting three straight goals in the last 1:44 of the half for a 9-3 lead at halftime.

Lehigh then put the contest out of reach for Davidson by exploding for four goals in the first nine minutes of the start of the second half to go in front 13-3 with 21:08 left in the game.

Crawford halted the Mountain Hawks' 11-goal spurt with a score at the 3:40 mark, before Draper ended the afternoon with her sixth and final goal for the 18-4 final score.

Davidson did finish with a season-best 20 groundballs with Stella Davis leading the way by recording a career-best six. Cook was next with four, followed by Callie Seymour and Lily Graham with two groundballs each.

Davidson continues its four-game road swing with a trip to Navy, Apr. 4 for a 1 p.m. contest.
