
W. Tennis Falls To Brown, 6-1, in Non-Conference Play

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson returned home for the first time since Feb. 27, but were not able to find its winning touch on its home courts as the Wildcats dropped a 6-1 decision to Brown on Monday afternoon in women's tennis action at the Covington Tennis Courts.
Davidson fell to 5-8 on the season, while Brown pushed its winning streak to nine straight to see its record improve to 13-2 overall.
Scoring the Wildcats lone point on the afternoon was sophomore Alison Rauh (Trier, Germany) with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Tanja Vucetic at No. 3. The sophomore pushed her singles winning streak to three in a row with the victory and sits at 5-7 on the season.
Seeing her season-high four-match win streak come to a halt in singles action was junior Virginia Berry (Spartanburg, S.C.) as she fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 to Cassandra Herzberg.
Monday's match starts a busy week for the Wildcats as they take a day off before playing host to Wofford on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The 'Cats follow that up with three in a row starting with a match against Cal State on Friday, then travel to Chattanooga and Samford for two more Southern Conference matches on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 28th and 29th.
