
Doubles Point the Difference in M. Tennis 4-3 Loss to St. Louis

DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson and St. Louis men's tennis teams split their six singles matches, but the Billikens swept the three doubles matches to take the doubles point in earning a 4-3 decision over the Wildcats on Monday afternoon at Covington Tennis Courts.
Davidson fell to 4-7 with the non-conference loss, while St. Louis improved to 6-4.
Earning the three singles wins for the Wildcats was Eric Noble, Scott Myers and Calum Gee at positions 2-4. Noble earned his fourth singles win in his past five matches by taking a 7-6, 6-3 win over James McArthur.
Myers and Gee keep pace with each other for the team-lead in wins as Myers earned a three-set win over Jake Hendrie at No. 3 and Gee captured a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4. The freshman moved to 5-4 on the year at the No. 4 singles spot, and is tied with Myers with six wins overall.
Davidson remains at home and hosts Indiana State this Thursday, Mar. 12 at 1:30. The Wildcats currently sit at 2-3 in home matches this year.
