Layup Line
• Davidson opens a four-game homestand with a 7 p.m. contest against Penn Monday in Belk Arena.
• It's the longest homestand of the season for the Wildcats.
• The 'Cats are coming off a stretch in which they played five of six away from home, and Davidson went 3-3.
• Davidson plays 11 of its final 18 regular-season games at home.
• Davidson is coming off a 61-52 victory over Hofstra in the Holiday Festival in New York's Madison Square Garden Dec. 21.
• Penn's last contest was an 80-75 setback at Monmouth Dec. 12.
• When the 'Cats and Quakers play Monday, Penn will have had 15 days in between games.
• Penn also has a new bench boss as Jerome Allen makes his debut against the Wildcats. Allen was promoted from an assistant coach to the interim head coach, taking over for Glenn Miller following the loss at Monmouth.
• Allen played for Penn from 1992-95 and led the Quakers to three consecutive undefeated Ivy League seasons before enjoying a pro career in Italy. A two-time Ivy League Player of the Year, Allen scored 1,518 career points and ended his career as the program's all-time leader in assists and steals.
• The Quakers are led by Zack Rosen, who is averaging 14.9 points a game. Jack Eggleston is averaging 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds a contest.
Series History
• The series, which began in 1956, is knotted 4-4.
• The Wildcats have won the last two contests, both of which have gone into overtime.
• Each of the last three games in the series have been decided by four points or less.
Leftovers from Hofstra
• Cohen's five blocked shots are a career high, and Frank Ben-Eze's four blocks are a career high.
• It was the first time Davidson coach Bob McKillop has coached against his alma mater; he's a 1972 Hofstra grad and basketball lettermen.
• Hofstra coach Tom Pecora was an assistant for McKillop at Long Island Lutheran High School.

• Bryant Barr needs 64 points to reach 700 for his career.
• Steve Rossiter needs 56 points and 34 rebounds to become the 30th Davidson player to tally 500 points and 500 rebounds.
• Davidson has shot 50 percent or better from the floor in three of its last four games.

Archambault Nearing 1,000 Points
• Senior Will Archambault is closing in on becoming the 38th Davidson player to score 1,000 points in his career.
• He needs 132 points to reach the mark.
• Archambault also needs 147 rebounds for 500 career caroms.
Tough Slate
• According to the 2010 Pomeroy College Basketball Rankings, Davidson has played the 11th-toughest schedule in the country.
• As of Dec. 27, the non-conference opponents that have defeated the Wildcats have a combined record of 59-20, and all seven have a winning record.
