
Richards Taken in Fourth Round of 2009 NBA D-League Draft

ATLANTA - Former Davidson basketball player Jason Richards was selected in the fourth round by the Utah Flash in the 2009 NBA D-League Draft Thursday night.
Rosters will be trimmed down to 12 players Nov. 18, and the Flash are slated to play a preseason game Nov. 23, at Idaho. Utah opens the regular season Nov. 27 at Tulsa.
Davidson's all-time leader in assists, Richards led the nation in assists as a senior and ranked second as a junior. He tied an NCAA Tournament regional semifinal record with 13 assists against Wisconsin in 2008 with no turnovers.
Richards finished his career with 1,096 career points, 663 assists and 325 rebounds. He played in 128 career contests.
