'Cats Look to Remain Perfect in SoCon with TV Contest Against Charleston

WILDCAT UPDATE
- Riding a 12-game winning streak and winners of 24 straight SoCon regular season contests, Davidson enters today's game with Charleston 16-6 overall and 14-0 in league play following a 74-64 win over Elon. Stephen Curry led the way for the Wildcats with 36 points on 12-of-18 shooting and made all nine of his tries from the charity stripe. It was Curry's third straight 30-point game at home as the sophomore is averaging more than 35 points in those contests.
- The Wildcats' current streak is the third longest in the nation behind Memphis (22) and Drake (20).
- Curry leads the SoCon in scoring and ranks fifth nationally with an average of 24.9 per outing. The reigning league Player of the Week and Month also ranks among national leaders in three-pointers made (5th/90) and per game (3rd/4.1).
- Along with Curry ranking among national leaders in scoring, his backcourt mate Jason Richards is also averaging double digits (12.9 ppg.) and still leads the country in assists at 8.0 per contest, while ranking 27th in assist/turnover ratio (2.51).
- During Coach Bob McKillop's 16 years coaching amongst SoCon competition, he has guided the 'Cats to at least 10 wins in conference play 14 times. Davidson's start to the 2007-08 conference slate marks the third time the Wildcats have started 14-0 under McKillop. The other times Davidson began the season 14-0 in league play it posted perfect SoCon marks (1995-96 & 2004-05).
- Davidson is 26-3 in February since the 2003-04 season, all three losses came during the 2005-06 slate.
- The 'Cats have also won 13 straight home games and 37 of their last 39 against SoCon opponents at Belk Arena.

Coaches: Davidson Bob McKillop, the all-time winningest coach in Davidson and SoCon history has compiled a record of 327-224. The six-time SoCon Coach of the Year is in his 19th year at the helm. College of Charleston Bobby Cremins is 33-23 in two seasons on the Cougars' bench and 487-330 as a collegiate head coach.
Series: Davidson has won nine straight and leads the all-time series 45-9.
Last Meeting: Senior Thomas Sander scored a season-high 21 points to lead the Wildcats to a 70-58 victory at College of Charleston Jan. 26.
