DAVIDSON, N.C. – Freshman Vitaly Radsky posted his first career pin, but it was the only team points Davidson garnered in a 40-6 dual-meet loss to SoCon nemesis Chattanooga Sunday afternoon at Belk Arena.
The 'Cats fall to 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the SoCon, while Chattanooga improves to 8-5 on the season and 3-0 in the league.
Radsky trimmed an 8-0 team deficit to 8-6 with a pin over T.J. Hannah at 141 pounds 5:23 into the match. The Mocs retook the eight-point lead with a pin by Joey Knox at 149 at the 4:27 mark.
Bond Davis added another pin at 157 for the Mocs 3:27 into the match, and Nick Davis posted a 24-9 technical fall at 165, giving Chattanooga an insurmountable 24-6 team lead.
Lloyd Rogers posted a 21-10 major decision over Trebor Clavette at 174 for the Mocs, and Josh Edmondson defeated Sam O'Hair 7-1 at 184.
The Wildcats took a forfeit at 197, and Matt Lettner capped the meet by topping Charlie Wolff 4-2 at 285.
Davidson returns to the mat at SoCon opponent Appalachian State Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m.
