WILDCAT UPDATE
- Riding a 16-game winning streak, Davidson enters its first appearance in the ESPNU Bracketbusters extravaganza 20-6 overall following a 75-66 victory over UNC Greensboro. Stephen Curry led the way for the 'Cats in Tuesday's triumph with 30 points and drilled all six of their buckets from downtown.
- Davidson's streak is the second longest in the nation behind Memphis (25). The Tigers (29) also better the Wildcats by one for the longest conference regular season winning streak in the country.
- Curry leads the SoCon in scoring and ranks fourth nationally with an average of 25.8 per outing. The reigning league Player of the Week (four-time) and Month also ranks among national leaders in free-throw percentage (12th/89.8), three-pointers made (T-3rd/111) and three-pointers per game (3rd/4.2).
- Along with Curry ranking among national leaders in scoring, his backcourt mate Jason Richards is also averaging double digits (12.3 ppg.) and still leads the country in assists at 8.1 per contest.
- Tuesday's win over UNC Greensboro gave the Wildcats their fourth straight 20-win campaign and eighth under Head Coach Bob McKillop.
